Rhone Rangers 2012 San FranciscoSyrah, Grenache, Viognier, and other Rhone varietals flow freely at Fort Mason during the annual Rhone Rangers weekend, which takes place on March 24-25. Rhone Rangers 2012 Tickets available here.

The Grand Tasting at Fort Mason (Sunday, March 25 from 2-5pm) provides an opportunity to sample a motherlode of Rhone-inspired wines.  As an added bonus, you will be able to purchase wines from many of the participants at the event.

For those looking to learn about wine in a more intimate setting, there are three seminars offered during the weekend.  Here’s a list of this year’s seminars:

Ticket Contest

While all three seminars sound interesting, I’m probably most drawn to the odd-ball varietals Seminar (“Rare Wine”).

Matt Kramer of the Wine Spectator recently wrote about one of the panelists, Gideon Bienstock of Clos Saron, in piece called, “Smaller Really is Better.”  To enter the ticket contest, please read Kramer’s article and answer the following question:  what is the total number of cases produced by Clos Saron each year?

Include your answer in the comments below, and make sure to include your contact information.  All correct answers submitted by March 16 at 12:01AM will be entered into a random drawing.
