Tues., January 18:  Biographies through Wine:  Don Heistuman @ 18Reasons (Mission)

18 Reasons
593 Guerrero
San Francisco, CA

7:00pm – 9:00pm ($40 for members / $50 for non-members) tickets here

The good folks over at 18 Reasons and Bi-Rite are putting together a great series of classes, featuring some interesting figures from the wine world telling their story of what inspired them to get into the business.  This week, Don Heistuman fo AHA wines, and one of the makers of Bebame (which seems to be on everyone’s list of best under $20 wines coming out of California), will be on hand.

Thurs., January 20:  Barolo + Amarone Tasting at Biondivino (Russian Hill)

Biondivino
1415 Green Street
San Francisco, CA

6:00pm – 8:00pm ($10 tasting)

7×7 Magazine recently named Biondivino one of the city’s best neighborhood wine shops.  And for good reason:  this is the go-to place for interesting Italian wines.  This week, they’ll be pouring wines from Bruna Grimaldi and Vaona Odina.    Bonus – the winemakers will be on hand.
